A Birmingham native, some may know and remember Walt Fletcher as a swimmer. After breaking over 20 state and Southeastern records in Butterfly and Freestyle as an age group swimmer, he rode on scholarship to Florida State University as team captain and qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100 Fly. Then others may know Walt as a musician in these groups ....House bands for Spinnaker “Captain and the Kidd” and “Finz” ; Nashville recording artist and Top 100 “Sterling Fletcher” ; and Best Band nationally 3 times by The Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities ,“Gilligan Loves MaryAnn”. All mainstays of Panama City Beach and throughout the south.
After moving to Nashville, Walt became a Realtor and quickly became one of the top salespeople in his branch of Crye-Leike Realtors, the largest and most productive agency in Tennessee. Representing both buyers and sellers, he developed a circle of trust from clients seeing him as straightforward and hardworking.
